The EuChemS Division of Organic Chemistry Award for Service is an annual award which acknowledges outstanding commitment to fostering organic chemistry in Europe and the goals of the EuChemS Division of Organic Chemistry. In addition to recognized service to the EuChemS Division of Organic Chemistry, this may include activities in governmental, non-governmental or funding organisations, publicity-related activities, symposium organisation, etc.

Professor Dieter Schinzer (Otto von Guericke Universität Magdeburg) is the recipient of the EuChemS Division of Organic Chemistry Award for Service 2022 for his significant contributions to organic chemistry in Europe through his role as Chemistry Domain Committee Chairman in COST (2006-2014), his promotion of opportunities within COST for early career researchers and his establishment of High Level Research Conferences in Chemistry in collaboration with the European Science Foundation.
