Symposium Chairs: Marianne Fillet and Philippe Hubert

This international symposium will be a joint meeting of two distinguished series: the 10th International Symposium on Drug Analysis and the 25th International Symposium on Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis. It follows a series of successful symposia on Drug Analysis organised by the Belgian Society of Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS) since 1983.

This symposium will cover all aspects of pharmaceutical and biomedical analysis, including emerging domains, such as metabolomics, proteomics and other omics, process analytical technology, green analysis and the detection of counterfeit drugs.

3 optional workshops will also be organised on Sunday June 22:

  • Analytical Quality by Design and risk management
  • SFC and SFC-MS
  • Recent developments in CE and CE-MS

2 tutorials will also be organised after lunch time on Monday and Tuesday:

  • “Separation of Enantiomers of Chiral Drugs by Liquid-Phase Techniques” 
  • “An Analysis of the New USP Validation Guidelines” 
     

The purpose of Drug Analysis 2014 is to bring together people from Industry, Government, Universities, Control Laboratories and Hospitals to discuss the current status of analytical techniques including instrumental applications and theoretical developments. Plenary and Keynote Lectures will be given by internationally recognised invited speakers. A limited number of papers will be presented as oral communications. Preference will be given to poster presentations.

An attractive programme of social events will also be arranged.
