THE UCB-EHRLICH AWARD for EXCELLENCE IN MEDICINAL CHEMISTRY Prof. Adam Nelson The EFMC awards the UCB-Ehrlich Award for Excellence in Medicinal Chemistry to a young scientist for outstanding research in the field of Medicinal Chemistry in its broadest sense. The EFMC is pleased to announce that the recipient of the 2018 UCB – Ehrlich Award for outstanding research into natural products and chemical biology is Professor Adam Nelson.

The EFMC is pleased to announce that the recipient of the 2018 Prous Institute - Overton and Meyer Award for New Technologies in Drug Discovery is Professor Benjamin Cravatt. EFMC PRIZE FOR A YOUNG MEDICINAL CHEMIST IN ACADEMIA IUPAC-RICHTER PrizeIUPAC and Gedeon Richter, Plc. are pleased to announce the 2018 IUPAC-Richter Prize in Medicinal Chemistry. The Prize has been established by a generous gift from the Chemical Works of Gedeon Richter, Plc. (Budapest, Hungary) to acknowledge the key role that medicinal chemistry plays toward improving human health. The prize (USD 10.000) is to be awarded to an internationally recognised scientist, preferably a medicinal chemist, whose activities or published accounts have made an outstanding contribution to the practice of medicinal chemistry or to an outstanding example of new drug discovery. The 2018 IUPAC-Richter Prize will be presented during the EFMC International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry in Ljubljana, where the recipient will also give a plenary lecture on the subject of his/her research. The travel expenses of the prize winner will be arranged by Gedeon Richter, Plc. The Call for Nominations is now open, and submissions should be done via this link. |
