The French Medicinal Chemistry Society (Société de Chimie Thérapeutique - SCT) is pleased to invite you to Avignon, for the 51st edition of the International Conference on Medicinal Chemistry.
RICT 2015 is expected to gather 550-600 scientists from around the world, with a majority of scientists coming from Europe.
The scientific programme, which will include over 25 plenary lectures by internationally well-known scientists, will focus on "Drug Discovery and Selection - Understanding Targets and Mechanisms", covering the main stages of modern drug discovery:
As per its tradition, the scientific committee will ensure the high quality and diversity of the scientific programme, together with the accessibility of the meeting to MSc and PhD students. For the latter, an advantageous registration fee will be proposed. Moreover, a special career session will be organised with industrial and academic participants.
During the meeting the P. Ehrlich Lecture Award will be awarded to a researcher or a research team for his/her/their outstanding contribution to medicinal chemistry. Furthermore, the Pierre Fabre Award for Therapeutic Innovation will be attributed to a researcher having accomplished a decisive action or made a discovery contributing to a therapeutic innovation. In addition, a poster session will provide the opportunity for all participants to present their current results. “Best poster” prizes will also be attributed.
The scientific programme of RICT 2015 will start on Wednesday around 14:00, and will end on Friday around 16:30. Participants who arrive early on Wednesday have the possibility to book a lunch bag, which will be distributed at the registration desk.
Avignon, located in south-eastern France, on the Rhone River, is a beautifully preserved medieval town surrounded by the original fortified city walls. The central historical part of the city, including the Palace of the Popes, the Saint-Benezet bridge, and the fortification walls that surround the city, is now a protected UNESCO heritage site.
The RICT organisers warmly invite you to attend the RICT Symposium in July 2015, and to take your time to discover Avignon - be it before, during or after the conference. Cause let there be no doubt: Avignon is the perfect destination where business can be easily combined with pleasure!
We invite you to read the editorial of the symposium, edited by Dr. Pierre Deprez (Galapagos).
