3rd EFMC Young Medicinal Chemists' Symposium

EFMC-YMCS Presentation Prize sponsored by EFMC & Actelion

The EFMC-YMCS Presentation Prize sponsored by Actelion will be awarded to the best oral presentation at the 3rd EFMC Young Medicinal Chemists' Symposium (EFMC-YMCS), including lectures by invited prize winners from national young medicinal chemist meetings in Europe and oral communications selected from submitted abstracts.

The Presentation Prize covers:

  • An oral communication and free registration for the next EFMC-ASMC'17 in Vienna in Summer 2017 (sponsored by the EFMC)
  • A travel grant of up to 1000€ to visit EFMC-ASMC'17 (sponsored by Actelion)

Mr Freek JANSSEN (Leiden University, The Netherlands) received the EFMC-YMCS Presentation Prize for his presentation on the "Development of Highly Selective and Reversible Diacylglycerol Lipase Inhibitors ".The prize was awarded by Koen Augustyns - EFMC President on behalf of the prize sponsors EFMC & Actelion.

EFMC-YMCS Poster Prize sponsored by Sir Simon Campbell and RSC

The EFMC-YMCS Poster Prize sponsored by Sir Simon Campbell and RSC will be awarded to the best poster presentation at the 3rd EFMC Young Medicinal Chemists' Symposium (EFMC-YMCS). The Prize consists of a diploma, a £500 cash prize offered by Sir Simon Campbell and an e-subscription to MedChemComm.

Ms Anna COOPER (University of Otago, New Zealand) received the EFMC-YMCS Poster Prize for her presentation on "Design, Synthesis and Pharmacological Evaluation of Fluorescent Tools for Studying Cannabinoid Type 2 Receptor". The prize was awarded by Dave Alker on behalf of the prize sponsors MedChemCom and Sir Simon Campbell.

 

EFMC-YMCS Public's Choice Prize sponsored by Roche

The EFMC-YMCS Public's Choice Prize sponsored by Roche will be awarded to the best oral presentation or poster presentation at the 3rd EFMC Young Medicinal Chemists' Symposium (EFMC-YMCS) chosen by the public. The Prize consists of a diploma and an iPad.

Mr Piotr DRACZKOWSKI (University of Lublin, Poland) was awarded the EFMC-YMCS Public's Choice Prize for her presentation on "Experimental Platform for Characterization and High-Throughput Screening of Acetylcholinesterase Inhibitors". The prize, based on the votes of YMCS participants, was awarded by Fionn O'Hara (Roche) on behalf of the prize sponsor Roche.
