EFMC-YMCS Presentation Prize sponsored by EFMC & Actelion

The EFMC-YMCS Presentation Prize sponsored by the EFMC & Actelion will be awarded for the best oral presentation at the 4th EFMC Young Medicinal Chemists' Symposium (EFMC-YMCS), including lectures by invited prize winners from national young medicinal chemist meetings in Europe and oral communications selected from submitted abstracts.

The Presentation Prize covers:

  • An oral communication and free registration for the next EFMC-ISMC Meeting 2018 in Ljubljana on September 2-6, 2018 (sponsored by the EFMC)
  • A travel grant of up to 1000€ to visit EFMC-ISMC 2018 (sponsored by Actelion)

Daniel MERK (ETH ZÜRICH, Switzerland) received the EFMC-YMCS Presentation Prize for his presentation on the "Facing Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis with Multitarget Compounds". The prize was awarded by Koen Augustyns - EFMC President on behalf of the prize sponsors EFMC & Idorsia.


EFMC-YMCS Poster Prize sponsored by Molecules and RSC

The EFMC-YMCS Poster Prize sponsored by Molecules (MDPI) and RSC will be awarded for the best poster presentation at the 4th EFMC Young Medicinal Chemists' Symposium (EFMC-YMCS). The Prize consists of a diploma, a 500€ cash prize offered by Molecules (MDPI) and an e-subscription to MedChemComm.

Matthieu PLACE (ICOA CNRS, France) received the EFMC-YMCS Poster Prize for his presentation on "Design of Novel Imidazopyridazines as Strong Haspin Inhibitors". The prize was awarded by Thierry Langer on behalf of the prize sponsors MedChemCom and Molecules.


EFMC-YMCS Public's Choice Prize sponsored by Roche

The EFMC-YMCS Public's Choice Prize sponsored by Roche will be awarded for the best oral presentation or poster presentation at the 4th EFMC Young Medicinal Chemists' Symposium (EFMC-YMCS) chosen by the public: the Prize consists of a diploma and an iPad.

Vittorio PACE (University of Vienna, Austria) was awarded the EFMC-YMCS Public's Choice Prize for his presentation on "Building-up Molecular Complexity with Carbenoids: New Vistas in Homologation Chemistry". The prize, based on the votes of YMCS participants, was awarded by Cosimo Dolente (F. Hoffman-La Roche) on behalf of the prize sponsor F. Hoffman-La Roche.
