It has a long history and has a number of beautiful historical monuments (please visit www.namur.be for more information)

  • By plane:  If you arrive at Brussels National Airport (Zaventem), you can get to Namur by train (approximately 1.5 hours). There is a train station at the airport. From there take any train to Brussels North station. At Brussels North catch a direct train to Namur. The price of a one-way trip is currently 9.30 €. In general, there are three trains per hour between the airport and Brussels North, and two trains per hour between Brussels North and Namur. For more information about the timetables please consult www.b-rail.be.

If you arrive at Charleroi airport, you can get to Namur by using a bus and train connection (approximately 1 hour). There is a special ticket available at the airport ticket counter that is valid for travelling from the airport to any train station in Belgium at a price of 10.50 €. This ticket combines the TEC bus ride (from the airport to the train station in Charleroi-Sud) and train (Charleroi-Sud to Namur). In order to park in this location, a permit is required. Please contact Edith BOTEK (edith.botek@fundp.ac.be) to get the form that you will put in a visible place in your car. If the car park is full, you will have to park on the public street or car park.
