The Faculty of Medicine is located on the Gasthuisberg Campus, close to the University Hospital. 

How to reach the Gasthuisberg Campus?

With public transportation

The station of Leuven and the hospital are about 4 km (2,5 miles) apart. A bus to the hospital leaves every 10 minutes. Buslines: 3, 316, 317, 333, 334, 335, 370-374, 380 (in the direction of the city centre) or 600 (ringbus). There's a bus stop close to the main entrance of the hospital. Once you get to the entrance hall, follow the bordeaux arrows to get to Onderwijs & Navorsing 1 (Education & Research 1). 

By car

• via the E40 motorway: between exit 22 and 23 take the E314 motorway. Continue reading 'via the E314 motorway'.
  
• via the E314 motorway: take exit 17 and drive in the direction of Leuven until you reach the ring (Brusselsepoort). Take the ring on the right and leave it at the first exit labelled 'UZ Leuven'. You will arrive at a big roundabout with in the middle a work of art named 'Het Teken' or 'The Sign'. Continue reading 'via the ring' starting from the roundabout. 
  
• via the ring: If you are in the outside ring: follow the ring until you pass the Brusselsepoort and see the sign 'UZ Leuven'. Leave the ring and drive in the direction of the hospital (Campus Gasthuisberg). If you are in the inside ring: follow the ring until you pass the crossing at the Tervuursepoort. Then follow the signs 'UZ Leuven'. In both scenarios you will reach a big roundabout with in the middle a work of art named 'Het Teken' or 'The Sign'. On this roundabout, take the first exit in the direction of 'Faculteit Geneeskunde Onderwijs en Navorsing' (Faculty of Medicine, Education and Research'. Follow the road going up until you see an exit labelled 'parking De Villa'. Park on the right side of the parking lot on the parking spaces reserved for visitors. Walk back in the direction of the entrance of the parking lot and take the small path on the left side of the barrier (when looking at the barrier). Take the pedestrian crossing. Follow the small path. On your right side you will see a building. After about twenty meters (60 feet) the path will go left. There will be bicycle racks on your right. Take the large stairs that you will see in front of you (in between two gray buildings). Continue along until you reach a courtyard where you will find the necessary signs to reach your final destination.
